Two Scribes Writing Torah Together

Does a scroll have to be the work of a single Sofer, or could two of them work together?

    It is permissible to hire two Sofrim to write one Sefer Torah. However, they need to have similar writing since it is not considered respectful to have a Sefer Torah that has been written in two obviously different styles of writing.
