Can one do tashlich in their backyard koi pond?

    It is absolutely fine to do Tashlich in a backyard pool – especially if it has live fish in it. There is a disagreement among the Halachic authorities as to whether there needs to be fish in the water or not. Some authorities rule that there should be fish whereas others rule that it is not necessary.
