Sinful Not To Work?

Question

Is it sinful for one to live their life as a beggar, either off their family or the community, instead of working for a living, if one’s reason for doing so is not to spend their time learning Torah, but because they are lazy or dislike work or lack a work ethic?

    It is certainly considered to be an unfavorable thing for a person to make others support them. If it family and they are financially comfortable enough to support them, it is less problematic. But a person should do everything that they can to avoid relying on the greater community to support because they simply do not want to work.
