I would like to think that it is nothing more sinister than the fact that everyone has decided not to talk in your Shul anymore. I was so hopeful that one of the lessons that was learned from the Shul close-downs during the global Covid pandemic was that people would be so much more careful about talking in Shul than they were beforehand. If that is not the case, then I would suggest that perhaps you try approaching the Rabbi of the Shul and asking him if he might know the reason.
