Who Blows the Shofar?

Is it better for a woman to hear shofar from a man, or is it just as good to hear from another woman or blow for herself?

    According to the simple interpretation of the Halacha, a woman can blow the Shofar for herself and/or other women with a Bracha. However, many Poskim are of the opinion that it would be preferable if a man were to blow for women, see Sha’arei Teshuvah 589 and Kaf HaChaim 589.
