The “Despised Cornerstone”

Question

Dear Rabbi,

1) What is the exact translation of this Commentary?
אבן מאסו. עם כי הייתי אני דוד כמו האבן אשר מאסו הבונים לתתו בבנין עתה אני אבן הניתן בראש הזויות (כי הדרך לתת האבן המשובח ביותר בפנת הכותל להיות נראה משתי הרוחות):
2) and also:
.אבן – דרך משל שהיו העמים מבזין אותו ובסוף התגבר עליהם, או ידבר ברוח הקדש על ישראל שהם בגלות

    The verse is from Psalms 118:22. The first commentary is from the Meztudat David and the second commentary is from the Ibn Ezra:

    1) Because I, David, was like the despised [corner]stone which the builders despised to put into the building. I am the [corner]stone that will be put into central angle. (Because the way to put the most beautiful [corner]stone was to put it at the corner of the wall so that it could be seen from both sides).

    2) It is a parable that the nations would disgrace him but in the end he became greater than them, or he will speak with Divine Inspiration about Israel when they are in exile.
