Is it obligatory to receive help from a Torah scholar to study Torah and know Kabbalah?

    Yes, absolutely. It is not possible to understand the Kabbalah correctly without an expertise in both the Written Torah and the Oral Torah. Such expertise comes only from learning with others who are both Talmud scholars and pure and righteous as well.
