Spiritual Giants Today

Question

In each generation, Hashem has given great Torah scholars to the Jewish nation. Akiva, Shimon bar Yochai, Arizal, Chofetz Chaim, Luzatto – are some of them. Through them, the Jewish tradition has been preserved.

Who is the greatest Jewish spiritual giant of this present generation?

    A fascinating question that is extremely difficult to answer.

    Part of the difficulty lies in the fact that many spiritual giants do not reveal their greatness, preferring to remain anonymous so that they can remain totally focused on their spiritual growth and their connection to Hashem. This does not mean the names familiar to everyone as the leading Torah giants today are not great spiritual giants. But it does mean that there are many more spiritual giants who we are unaware of.
