Should Idol Worshippers be Killed?

A year ago, I came across a video by Yosef Mizrachi (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2lfJNCyIF8) where he calls for people in India, Nepal, China, Japan, Vietnam & Thailand to be killed. Why; because they are idol worshippers. And this is the greatest Mitzvot for a jew. Watch the video for details. This is taken from Deutoronomy.

Q: Why are Jews not following this instruction that is the greatest Mitzvot?

Q: Some people have said (on Reddit) that this injunction applies to areas under Jew control (that is when they are majority). This would imply that the few Hindu temples and Bah’aai temple too in Israel are to be destroyed. Is this something practicing Jews ought to do.

A couple of other people I reached out to called me out for sensationalising this – that until such an attack took place, I should not panic. My question is about the theology and belief.

    I cannot answer for Yosef Mizrachi. You would need to ask him why he says the things that he does and what his Halachic proofs are for saying them.
