Sha’atnez and Talmid Chacham

Question

to clarify my previous question, I mean to ask do poskim believe a talmid Chacham can pasken to assume something isn’t shaatnez using chazaka (compared to a layperson who isn’t familiar with the Sinamin of it) or no? Not that It changes physical reality

  1. If I understand your question correctly then I think that the answer is no. Sha’atnez requires that the article of clothing be checked. Once it is known that the piece of clothing has either wool or linen in it, it should be checked and one should not rely on the fact that a previous piece of identical clothing was checked and found to be Kosher.
