Rebate for Early Payment
Question
I bought merchandise from a fellow Jew about a month ago and the agreed upon time to pay is in about 5 weeks time.
It so happened that I am able to pay for it now. Is it ok to ask for a discount for paying early? Is it considered interest?
If the answer is yes, is the fact that had I paid on the spot I would have gotten a better price a game changer?

The Halachos of Ribis are extremely complex, to the point that even one small detail can change the final ruling. Subsequently, they require a broad expertise of the subject, which is something I do not have. Because of that, I would recommend that you ask a local Posek or Beis Din whose main focus is Ribis questions.
