Pre-Peeled and Sliced Fruits

Question

When you’re in a market/super market, and they have peeled or sliced fruits (such as mangos, peaches, kiwis, apples etc.) Is there a Chazaka they are kosher? Does it depend on if it’s in a non Jewish one in chutz laaretz or a non observant Jewish one like In Israel?

  1. It is permissible to buy peeled and cut fruits from a non-Kosher store so long as the knife that they use to cut the fruit is not used to cut non-Kosher products. Today, it is almost certain that the knives are used only for fruits because Department of Health has all kinds of laws governing hygiene in stores. If it is a large supermarket that has a lot of cut up fruits for sale every day, it is even less complicated because the fruits are, presumably, being peeled and cut up by an automated process and the machines used are only for fruits.
