Otni: “Lion of God”?

Question

Ayin~Tav~Nun~Yud spells Otnniy, “lion of YHVH” – a Levi, son of Shmayah , the first-born son of Obed-Edom.

Usually I can see the meaning of a word in the “essence” of each holy letter. However, Ayin~Tav~Nun~Yud spells Otnniy, “lion of YHVH” is perplexing!

What letters spell “lion”? What letters spell YHVH?

    Shalom Rabbi. Ayin~Tav~Nun~Yud Othni is found in 1Chronicles 26:7. 2letterlookup.com is the source used for interpretation. Thanks for your prompt response. I’m baffled!

    I am aware of the fact that Otni appears in Chronicles but I am not familiar with any classic source that suggests that the name means the lion of God.
