Answers
A woman after birth is considered to be Niddah and all the Laws of Niddah apply. How long is the new mother Niddah for? She is Niddah until she stops seeing any blood. At that point, she makes a Hefsek Taharah, waits seven days (checking herself each day to make sure that there is no residue of blood), and on the eighth night she goes to the Mikveh.
