Yes. If the son was born (or even conceived) after his mother converted to Judaism in accordance with Halacha (Jewish Law), the son is the child if a Jewish mother and is automatically Jewish from birth.
But, if the son was already born before his mother’s conversion, the son is not considered as being born Jewish, and the mother and son should consult with an Orthodox Rabbi if there is an interest in the son converting to Judaism, as his mother once did.
