I am going to the Mikve for an Orthodox conversion IN ISRAEL. What must I know?

    The Bet Din that is overseeing your conversion will be able to give you all the details about immersion in the Mikve. In general, it requires that a person immerse themselves entirely in the waters of the Mikve all at the same time. The Bet Din will ask you a few questions prior to the immersion as a final check to make sure that you are sincere and aware of the enormity of what you are about to do. You will need to immerse in the Mikve and then recite a Blessing and then immerse in the Mikve again. After coming out of the Mikve the Bet Din will then declare that you are Jewish.
