Were members of the Levite tribe allowed to own land?

Either in the days of Joshua or in the first century.

    Yes, they were allowed to own land. However, what is true is that the Levites did not have a portion of the Land of Israel designated to them. Rather, they lived in the 48 Cities of Refuge that were spread out all over the land.
