Levite Cities

Question

What ever happened to the 48 Levite cities? Do they still exist today, and if so, do they still have the same names? Does any of the architecture from them still exist?

    The Levite cities were destroyed together with the other cities of Israel during the various conquests. Some of them, for example Chevron, the exact location is still known but for many of them their exact location has been lost.
