How soon after the death of a brother can I have an aliyah?

Also when is the first yahrzeit? Is it the anniversary of his death or the day he was buried?

    A mourner can receive an Aliyah after they have gotten up from Shivah – even when they are in the Shloshim mourning period.

    The Yahrzeit is normally commemorated on the anniversary of the day of the passing. If, however, there was a gap of three days or more from the passing until the burial, the first Yahrzeit is commemorated on the date of the burial.
