Latest Morning Shema

Question

Hi. Is one required to complete Shema by the latest time, or only to begin Shema by that time? Is there a difference of opinion? Thanks so much.

    The Shema should be finished by the last time for reciting the Shema. There is one authority who rules that it is enough to begin the Shema by the last time, but the overwhelming majority opinion is not like that.
