Kol Isha Ringtone

Question

Is it problematic to have a ringtone of a woman singing if there might be men around? What if the men around listen to women singing anyway? What if it’s just in a public place with a regular chance of Jewish men being around?

    If the ringtone is an electronic replication of the original, it would be permissible to have it for your phone, although I am not sure that I would recommend it since many people might have difficulty differentiating between the electronic version and the real one. If, however, it is an original recording, it should not be used it as your ringtone.
