Designing a Mikveh

Question

We are designing a Mikvah. Can it have a drain at the bottom of the pool? If so where does the water go to? ( Can’t go into sewer system.) If not; how do we get the water out to clean the pool. I surely do not want to be the 14th person who bathes in the same water!!

Is there an on line guide available?

    The design and construction of a Mikveh is complex and requires someone who is an expert the relevant laws to accompany the building of it from the very beginning. Personally, I think that your best option is to turn to one of the large Kashrut organizations for assistance, and to ask them to recommend either an individual or an organization that focuses on the design and construction for a Mikveh.
