Buying Stock on Chol HaMoed

Question

Am I allowed to buy stocks on chol hamoed in a situation where I will only be able to make money if I buy it now and not after yom Tov?

    The majority of the Halachic authorities rule that one should not buy stocks and shares during Chol HaMoed. This ruling is applicable even if it seems that waiting until after Yom Tov will vastly reduce the potential profits, or even make it impossible to buy that stock at all.

    It is permissible to sell stock if one is truly concerned that waiting until after Yom Tov will be the cause of a large loss.
