    I am not sure to which symbol you are referring to exactly but one of the most popular symbols is a key. The Sages teach that God holds the key for prosperity and He does not entrust it to anyone else. That is why the key has become a symbol of prosperity and decorative keys can be found in many Jewish homes. There is even a custom among many Jews to bake special breads in the shape of a key in the springtime immediately after the festival of Passover.
