From Adam to Lamech Adam, Cain, Enoch, Irad, Mehujael, Methusael, Lamech If we start with Adam, then there are 7 generations from Adam to Lamech However, if we start with Cain, then there are 6 generations from Adam to Lamech Which is it? Genesis 4:24 makes it sound like the 7th generation from Cain. How could that be Lamech?    

Is the Aramaic language used in any portion of the Torah?

10 generations from Adam to Noah Adam, Seth, Enosh, ..., Methuselah, Lamech, Noah There are 10 generations if Adam and Noah are both included 10 generations from Noah to Abraham Noah, Shem, Arpachshat, ..., Nahor, Terah, Abraham If we start with Noah, then there are 11 generations If we start with Shem, then there are 10 generations. Please explain.

How is Lamech considered the avenging of Cain 7-fold, i.e., 7th generation from Cain? And what does 77 mean for Lamech?

As we all know, the Torah was given at Mt. Sinai, long after the life of Yaakov. But Yaakov is said to have studied Torah at the Yeshiva of Shem and Eber. How is that possible that he could study Torah when the Torah had not been given yet, and when the Torah mostly describes events that took place after his lifetime? How is it possible that the concept of a yeshiva existed then when there were so few monotheists in the world who had Torah values?
