Question
Hey Rabbi, I easily get upset at others. I guess it’s just my nature. Is it wrong according to Judaism? And what can I do to change? Thank you.

Question
Hi Rabbi, I write while thinking about the ongoing rescue/recovery efforts after the Surfside building collapse. So many caring people are risking so much to help in any way possible. I am not asking why it happened, but would like to hear your thoughts on this. Thank you for this valuable service.

Question
Hi Rabbi, I recently went to a class about the “Portion of the Week”, and when the Rabbi concluded the lesson I felt that I should clap my hands to applaud in appreciation for the very interesting class. However, the other attendees didn’t clap, so I decided not to either, although I did tell the Rabbi how much I enjoyed the class. My question is, “Why didn’t everybody applaud? The class was truly outstanding.” Thanks.

Question
I recently discovered the tombstone of a great uncle that I have been looking for for many years. He died in 1896. His brother bought the stone. At the top of the stone is a crown. It is quite large and seems important. Do you have any idea what this crown means?

Question
Hi Rabbi, we are new grandparents and have not been told what the newborn will be called at the baby’s naming ceremony. Is it usual to wait until after the ritual to tell the grandparents? Thank you.

Question
I am a member of a large-ish congregation. Over time, I've noticed that our (mostly young) rabbis rarely participate as members in events, and seldom bring their spouse and children to congregation events. Is this a Reform policy or minhag? It seems odd to me. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Question
An online search says that besora (בשורה) is the Old Testament (Hebrew) equivalent of the New Testament (Greek) word euangelion, which is translated as "gospel", meaning "good news". My question is this: Is "besora" or an equivalent word found in the Tanakh?

Question
Hi Rabbi, I read that there are 36 righteous people in every generation whose identities are hidden from the world. My question is: Why do they stay hidden? Shouldn't they be in the thick of society as renowned Torah leaders? I wonder if it’s possible that I might be one of these 36?! Thanks for this terrific Ask the Rabbi service which Gateways provides!
