Question
How am I supposed to be b'simcha - in general, and specifically on this chag? I live in Israel and I still don't have a teudat zehut and it seems like I won't be able to and my only housing option is with an insane cousin and no women are interested in me - Yevamos 62b - כל איש שאין לו אשה....   I honestly don't know how to keep going on. 16 years in yeshivos and 10 years off and on in Kollel and almost nothing to show for it.   050-958-7252 - WhatsApp only please silverbenjaminsamuel@gmail.com

Question
What are the laws pertaining to capitalizing off various aspects of Jewish life, such as Jewish holidays, simchas, or other mitzvot. For example, operating a catering service providing food for people to eat on the Yom Tovim. Or selling sukkahs or the arba minim for profit? Or writing and selling tefillin, mezuzahs, or print copies of the Torah. Or singing songs derived from the words of Torah and Tefillah, then selling albums of them and performing them at concerts to make money while entertaining others? All just to name a few examples. I know people are doing it all the time. But are there any restrictions on doing so?

Question
I spent this past Shabbos out of town and went to a shul I picked at random where I had never been. The rabbi’s sermon was about the importance of davening with a tzibur. He said a man who neglects to daven with a tzibur without a good reason has violated a negative commandment and therefore sinned. Is that really true? I always understood before that it is a positive commandment to daven with a tzibur, but not a violation of a negative one to skip. I rarely go to shul on weekdays because my work schedule does not allow. I only go on Shabbos and Yom Tov and occasionally on Sunday and civil holidays.

Question
Dear Rabbi, There have been times where I visited the Kotel and gave Tzaduka to Jewish women giving away red strings with the blue eye which I thought was good luck to ward off evil. Not meant to cause harm to anyone. All the stores sell gifts with the eye much like a Hamsa. I got a manicure with the eye decoration for for good luck and because I thought it was pretty. My husband thinks it's bad and I should take it off immediately. Is there any reason why it is bad to look at that symbol as protection? Even if it's just a superstition? I need to know kind of quickly. Thank you, Shavua Tov Lori

Question
Jewish sages said that the angel of Israel is in the lowest rank among angels in Olam Haze. When Moshiach comes, the angel of Israel will go to the highest position. This means that the state of Jews will change from suffering to redemption. However, Looking at the numbers of Jewish nobel prize winners, Jewish magnates, Jewish tycoons, and Jewish chess champions, it seems that Jews are already at the top rank, even before Moshiach comes. Why have Jewish sages said that the angel of Israel is at the bottom in Olam Haze, and will go to the top position only after Moshiach comes, while Jews are already sweeping over the world?
