הִנֵּ֚ה נַֽחֲלַ֣ת יְהֹוָ֣ה בָּנִ֑ים
Behold, the heritage of the Lord is sons

The inscription on a baby card states:
Psalm 127:3
הנה נחלת ה׳ בנים
For children are a gift from G-d.

Does Banim mean children and also specifically sons as is found in the Torah?

    “Banim” is the plural of the word “ben,” which literally means a son. However, “banim” can mean either sons or children in general, depending on the context. In the baby card it certainly means all children – both sons and daughters.
