Is there a prayer that is “sung” for the dying?

    Not that I am aware of. There are a series of prayers that are recited when a person is dying that revolve around confession. Some of what is said are prayers that we recite on Yom Kippur and they have a haunting melody that is often sung on Yom Kippur. There is no reason why that melody cannot be used when reciting the confession with the person dying, but there is no obligation to do so.
