Question
Why does the Shemot Torah reading end at Exodus 6:1 and Vaera begin at Exodus 6:2? It would seem logical that Vaera would begin with 6:1. Thanks for your prompt response.

Question
Doees sugalahs have a place withing Judaism.I recently read an article in a Orthodox magazine about different things that one can do to help fix certain problems.It says the Steipler told someone to make sure all their sforim were turned right side up.The boyaner Rebbe told someone who had inflammation in their heel of their foot to take the oil from the menorah and put it on his foot and it helped.Saying certain passages for forty days.Some of this stuff sounds like Avodah Zorah.I didnt know Judaism had something that one can do that is easy that can heal or make miracles.Is this something that is accepted and if so how does it fit in to Jewish theology.Thanks

Rabbi Lauffer,Thank you for answering my question. I have found inconsistancies in the book of Jubilee's. G-d inspired scripture will have none.
