Question
Dear Rabbi, Would you please entertain a question from a Non-Jew about the Jewish tribe, the Banu Qurayza, the men of whom were killed by Islam's prophet Muhammad. Should the day ever come that friendly feet again trod upon the streets of the city of Medina (Yathrib), will it be permissible, under Jewish law and tradition, for the men of tribe of Banu Qurayza to be exhumed from their grave at the city's main market? Under Jewish law could they be exhumed and reburied properly? Perhaps taken to Israel? Forgive a nosy Gentile please. Sincerely, JJ Ellis
