Hi, i'm a baal-tshuva, and i hear many things in passing about yiddishkeit, and i don't have the background enough to know if something seems funny or is 100% right. Anyway, i heard there is an opinion that above ten amos halacha doesn't apply. If that's true, I suppose everything (above 10 amos) would have a din of a n'dava as opposed to a law m'ikar hadin. Is this halacha about 10 amos true? Is it a minority opinion? or no ones opinion at all?

hello, My husband and i disagree about whether we should keep our t.v. and during an arguement he swore "over his dead body" there would be a t.v. in the home. now he tells me because he swore this, if we keep the t.v. he could die. is this true?

B"H I was discussing the Tu B'Shevat seder with a friend, and he informed me that there is concern that the tradition comes from a Shabbatain (did I get that right?) practice. I looked it up, and discovered that it comes from Sefer Hemdat Yamim. So I guess my question is, "Who wrote Sefer Hemdat Yamim?" I can't seem to find anything about this online. Shavua Tov, Aliya

I was in Australia and I maid a “Hafsek tehora” last week Tuesday, I left Australia on Sunday morning and I arrived to new york today, Sunday evening, could I go to the Mikva on Monday , since Had already seven sunsets, or I have to wait till Tuesday?
