I've been hearing alot about the kabbalah. Can non jews study, and is it true that you have to be over 40 to begin?

During Fashion Week I noticed that many designers were incorporating the lessons of ancient Jewish mysticism (Kaballah, &c) into their current work. I did not know whether to consider this a blessing or an act of supreme displeasure. Should I still admire Dior and Marc Jacobs, or am I to shun them?

Hello. Do Jews believe in an afterlife? That is, do Jews believe that when a (good) person dies, he goes directly to heaven? Or is everything on hold until the Messiah comes? I've heard some people (Jewish and non-Jewish) say, "Jews don't believe in an afterlife."
