Are there are laws, rules, regulations, etc. regarding the washing/cleaning of a talit?

Obviously, it is forbidden for Jews to eat pork, but is it forbidden for Jews to handle pork or pigs (especially if they are not destined for consumption)? Could a Jew slaughter pigs and make their skin into articles of clothing or footballs? Could a Jewish student participate in a biology class that killed and dissected a pig? Could a Jew keep a pig as pet?

I am doing a project on the holocaust for my R.S Judaism coursework. I was wondering what your view is on this quote, "The past should be Forgiven and Forgotten" in relation to the holocaust. I would really appreciate you're answer as am finding it hard to gather information. Thankyou
