Does Judaism have any kind of meditation tradition(s) comparable to those of the Eastern religions? I am Jewish and moving back to New York after several (difficult) years away, and I intend to begin cultivating some kind of meditation practice and would like to learn if there are opportunities for me to do so within the context of Judaism. I seem to have lost my email capabilities and i can't figure out why. To compound matters I have been informed by the powers that be that I will not be in Jerusalem for Sunday and Monday.
