Can you please tell me if it is the norm in the Jewish faith to for specific people that are already dead?

I have seen in the supermarket a new product , Nathan's kosher franks. It has a K and beneath the letters UMK. I have never seen this, is this item kosheror the same as Hebrew National franks which are not really kosher? Thank you for your help, Carol Goldstein
