Why do Jews deny Jesus as the Messiah?

Who is the moshiach supposed to be by the Torah, how and when is he to come and what does Isaiah 53 mean? Does the torah and prohets dispell Y'shua's claim to be the moshiach? I hear all the prophecyies uphold his claim. If it was not him then who? Is a war supposed to start in October of this year, is Jerusalem really n danger? Then will Y'shua return after the earthquake? What will ahppen then?
