Question
I have a detailed and difficult matter that I need to consult with you on. It is in regard to the fact that I loaned approximately $8,000 to my former boss many months ago. As of yet, I have not been repaid most of it. There is no legal agreement, or anything in writing for that matter, that stipulates the terms of repayment. From approximately November 2005 to January 2006, I made a series of loans to my former boss. Each loan was between several hundred and two thousand dollars apiece. I obtained this money by making cash withdrawals from an ATM machine at a bank near our office, and in one case, obtaining a cash advance from one of my credit cards. In return, my former boss gave me postdated checks to deposit as repayment, which included 10% interest. Originally, I was supposed to deposit the checks in January and February of this year, but when I attempted to deposit several checks, they all bounced. My former boss replied that I should have not done so without consult
