A relative of my wife is getting married toward the end of July. We looked on the calendar and realized this is during the three weeks. What we found out is they are Sefardi, and the Sefardi custom is that weddings may be held during the three weeks before the nine days begin. We are Ashkenazim. What do we do about this? Can we attend the wedding?

If one is davening and in the middle of prayer receives a text message for which urgency of response is demanded by the sender, is it permitted at any point during the prayer service to respond to the text? Do the same rules apply as talking with your voice during davening? Or are there different rules for texting?

Is lag b’Omer an actual Halacha chiyuv, or minhag? Is it permitted to fast or no on that day? If it falls out motzai Shabbat, is besamim not used due to neshama yesira?
