Question
I just saw a TikTok video that said a wedding ring according to Jewish law cannot have any engravings on it, including the numbers of karats. When my wife and I got married, I was unaware of this. I didn’t even pay attention to this when I bought the ring. After learning this, I looked at her ring and noticed it says 14K on the interior. We’ve been married 32 years and we have grown married children and grandchildren. Does this mean our marriage is passul? The rabbi who married us is long deceased, so we can’t go back to him.

Question
Okay hi!! So I have a question and trying to look it up is very very confusing. So! Basically my great grandmother on my moms side was a Jewish German and came to America in the 1940s I think…yeah. And then my grandma tried to convert to catholic (her mom was apparently very strict so I think she wanted to rebel)but gave up I think. And my mom has always had a sort of attachment to the cultural side of being Jewish but not identifying as Jewish anymore?? We grew up with dradles and wearing the Star of David and stuff like that but we celebrated Christmas and never went to temple. So I’m wondering if I’m even Jewish? Like we have the ancestry but it seems even if my mom and grandma are/were, they don’t identify as Jewish anymore?? I’m not sure bad the whole thing is very confusing to me. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Question
Hi, I've been working on my lashon hara and been careful about what I say. the problem is that my friends and I have a document that serves many purposes, and my friends like to document things that happened. They (and I probably have too) have written down things that I had said about things that happened to me regarding other people before I started to be more careful. I try to not push my goals on them (if they want to tell me something, even if it probably shouldn't be said, I listen because I'm the person they tell things to) but sometimes I feel like keeping the things that I've said written down is more lashon hara. No one but my friend group has access to this document and they already knew it all but it still feels wrong. I tried secretly deleting something that I said more recently (I said it because I needed advice) but one friend noticed and called the other to try to remember what it was and put it back. What should I do? I feel weird about leaving it but I don't want to try to push my changes on my friends.
