How does one observe the mitzvah of lighting the menorah when in a no-open-flames environment, such as a hospital?

    The only real option is for the person to become a “partner” with someone else who will light the Menorah for them in a safe place. The person needs to give a minimal amount of money to their “partner” – and in that way they are included in the candle lighting even if they are not present.
