In theory it is permissible to light a BBQ with the three-day candle but I would not recommend doing so as there is a good chance that it will go out in the process. Subsequently, it would probably be better to light something else from the three-day candle and use that to light the BBQ.
Just as an addendum, while it is permitted to light a new flame from a preexisting flame on Yom Tov, it is forbidden to extinguish fire on Yom Tov, which would mean that both whatever was used to light the BBQ and the BBQ itself need to be left to burn out alone.
