Is “OMG” Allowed?

Question

Are we ever (under any given circumstances) allowed to communicate either in writing or by verbal speech –the term OMG?

(Just to be sure and clarify– OMG = “Oh My G-d.” )

    Because many people use OMG as a shortened version of “Oh My Gosh,” I think that one cannot say that it is forbidden to use. However, because it is possible that it would be misunderstood, I would certainly suggest that it not be used.
