Invasive Species Hunting

Is hunting invasive species allowed? This is not for food.

    Not only is it permitted to hunt invasive species, but it might also be a Mitzvah to do so. Invasive species, by definition, cause damage to the ecosystem that they have invaded. Left to their own devices, they potentially are capable of ruining an entire area, rendering it inhabitable for indigenous lifeforms.
