Answers
Avinu Malkeinu is not recited on a Yom Tov or Chol HaMoed (Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur are not considered to be a Yom Tov). However, the whole of the davening for Hoshanah Rabbah in the morning has the “flavor” of Yom Kippur. The Chazan wears a Kittel and the Hoshanos that are recited are much longer and, very often the Chazan uses some of the tunes of Yom Kippur.
