God’s Love

Question

How do we know God loves us? We say that since God loves us, we should understand that the Torah and mitzvahs we received are for our good. But how do we know that God loves us?

    One of the most direct methods to know God loves us is by looking at everyday life and seeing its wondrous nature. To help us gain this perspective, we are taught to recite a series of blessings each morning, which are called “The Morning Blessings.” With these blessings, we thank God for basic gifts He grants us. For example, the ability to see, the ability to walk and that He provides all our needs. In expressing our gratitude for these numerous gifts we are granted from Above, we can achieve a better appreciation and a clearer recognition of God’s love for us.
