Divine Financial Decree

Question

Suppose that Hashem decreed that I would earn 100000 dollars this year. But someone misused his free choice in some sinful way, and he took away 30000 dollars from me. Then would Hashem compensate me for those 30000 dollars?

    According to Jewish thought, no one can take anything away from you without God’s allowing it. This means that the $30,000 that was taken from you will be returned somehow and at some point. If, however, there was a decree that you will earn $70,000 in that year, and, for whatever the reason, you made $100,000, the $30,000 that was taken from you would not be returned.
