Dairy with Fish

Question

May one drink milk when eating smoked salmon? Or use butter with smoked salmon? I am Sephardic.

    Those who follow the rulings of Rav Ovadiah Yosef do not eat fish and dairy together. Those who follow the rulings of Rav Ben Tzion Abba Shaul do eat diary and fish together. I cannot tell you which one of those two Halachic giants you should follow, as it is generally a matter of which countries your family came from and which customs they follow.
