Are loose fingernails or loose skin considered as Chatzitzah for Netilat Yadayim

    No. The Chochmas Odom rules that these kinds of things are not a problem. However, it could be that for a person is truly bothered by the nail or the skin, it might be considered a chatzitza. Or if there is a lot of pus around the nail, it could also be considered to be a chatzitza.
