Blessing Over Wine and Not Drinking It

Question

My rabbi says the blessing over wine at Kiddush
every Shabbat morning. However, he does not
drink the wine. Is that proper?

    In general, it is Halachically acceptable to make Kiddush and have someone else drink the wine. If that is not the case I am sure that your spiritual leader has his reasons for doing as he does and you should ask him.
